What is Yoga?

Yoga is a Sanskrit word which means addition. Yoga meaning an addition of good and healthy activities in our routine whether it is Asanas (Physical Exercises), Pranayam (Breathing Exercises) and Shatkarmas (Inside Cleaning Exercises), Food and moral behaviour.

Yoga a one of the oldest prevention and cure techniques being used before the time of Ramayana. Yoga has simple benefits, it helps us keep healthy physically, mentally and emotionally.

If all humanity on the earth start following Yoga then every one will be healthy from all aspects and global peace can be achieved.

We are going to discuss the broader categories of Yoga. Though Yoga has many sub-categories however there are two main categories. First one in Hath Yoga (Hard Exercises), which includes all the Yoga Asanas and Kriyas  i.e. stretching the body and holding the breath which consumes more energy. Second one is Raj Yoga (Soft Exercises), which includes all the Yoga Asanas and Kriyas those either don't consume your energy or use very less energy.

Hath Yoga majorly helps us to keep our body healthy and on the other hand Raj Yoga ideally helps to keep are mind healthy. Both of Raj Yoga and Hath Yoga need to be followed side by side more over they are complementary each other.
